个人简介:
廖志洁,博士,中山大学医学院副教授,博士生导师。主要从事群体神经科学研究。2015年本科毕业于中山大学生命科学学院。2018 - 2022 年在多伦多大学心理学系攻读博士学位,从事青少年脑发育的研究工作。2022-2025年在蒙特利尔大学从事博士后研究,开展罕见遗传变异与脑结构的相关研究。2026年加入中山大学医学院,任副教授。近年来以第一作者在Nature communications, PNAS, Journal of Neuroscience等期刊发表多篇论文。
研究概况与成果简介:
大脑是调控个体认知、情绪和行为的核心器官,其结构和功能的个体差异与精神健康和多种脑相关疾病的发生发展密切相关。廖志洁博士的研究主要通过分析人群大样本的脑影像,探究遗传变异和内环境因素对个体大脑的结构和功能的影响,并整合组学数据发掘其背后的神经生物机制。
目前主要研究成果包括i)研究罕见基因拷贝数变异(Copy Number Variant, CNV)对大脑皮层面积的影响,并结合胎儿皮层转录组数据,阐明了CNV通过干扰神经祖细胞增殖影响皮层发育的神经生物机制。ii)阐述脑结构不对称性发育轨迹,并通过关联功能影像数据和神经递质受体密度的空间分布,首次阐明结构-功能互作驱动脑不对称性发育的生物学机制,提出"递质不对称→功能异步→结构分化"的级联调控模型,回答了“大脑结构的不对称性起源”这一个长期悬而未决的科学问题。iii)创新性地验证了青春期睾酮对人类大脑的组织化效应,以及青春期睾酮激增时间点的调节作用。并揭示了其背后有关轴突、髓鞘和树突生长的神经生物原理。此外,提供了青春期与成年期睾酮共同影响社交信号加工的强有力证据,完善了性激素的组织化-激活假说。
